Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Hookstore ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and InFTF ("we," "us," "our").

Description of Service

Hookstore is a platform for publishing, verifying, discovering, and installing Xahau Hooks. The Platform provides:

  • Source verification of hooks from GitHub repositories
  • On-chain hash verification
  • Multi-step hook installation flows
  • Publisher verification via DNS/TOML records
  • Statistics and analytics about hook usage

User Accounts

Account Creation

You may create an account using GitHub OAuth or Xaman wallet authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

Account Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for all activities under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform

Publisher Responsibilities

If you publish hooks on the Platform, you agree to:

  • Publish only hooks that you have the right to publish and that comply with applicable laws
  • Maintain access to and control over your GitHub repositories
  • Ensure your hooks are properly tested and secure
  • Provide accurate hook descriptions and metadata
  • Comply with Xahau network rules and regulations
  • Not publish malicious, fraudulent, or harmful hooks

Verification Disclaimer

Important: Verification on Hookstore does not constitute:

  • Security Audit: Verification confirms that code builds from GitHub and matches on-chain, but does NOT imply security review or audit
  • Endorsement: We do not endorse, guarantee, or warrant the quality, safety, or legality of any hook
  • Publisher Verification: Publisher verification only confirms domain/address/publisher linkage, not identity or trustworthiness
  • Code Review: We verify hashes match, but do not review code quality or security

You are solely responsible for evaluating and using hooks at your own risk.

Installation and Use

When installing hooks through the Platform, you acknowledge that:

  • Hook installations are on-chain transactions on the Xahau network and are irreversible
  • You are responsible for all transactions and fees
  • You understand the risks associated with smart contract execution
  • We (InFTF and Hookstore) are not responsible for any losses, damages, or consequences resulting from hook installation, use, or the content of any hooks
  • We do not endorse, guarantee, or warrant the content, functionality, security, or safety of any hooks published on the Platform
  • You are solely responsible for evaluating hooks and their potential effects before installation
  • You should verify hook behavior before installing on mainnet

Intellectual Property

The Platform and its content are owned by us or our licensors. Hooks published on the Platform remain the property of their respective publishers. By publishing a hook, you grant us a license to display, verify, and distribute your hook through the Platform.

Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
  • Publish malicious, fraudulent, or harmful hooks
  • Impersonate others or provide false information
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
  • Use automated systems to access the Platform without permission
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Platform Operation

Platform Operator

Hookstore is operated by InFTF (Inclusive Financial Technology Foundation), a foundation committed to:

  • Providing open-source infrastructure for the Xahau ecosystem
  • Maintaining platform security and reliability
  • Supporting the developer community
  • Ensuring transparent and fair access to platform services

Scope of Services

InFTF provides the infrastructure and services for the Platform, including:

  • Source code verification systems
  • Build and compilation infrastructure
  • Publisher verification mechanisms
  • Installation orchestration
  • Statistics and analytics

Third-Party Content

InFTF is not responsible for:

  • The content, functionality, or effects of hooks published by third-party publishers
  • Security vulnerabilities in third-party hook code
  • Accuracy of publisher-provided information
  • Behavior or consequences of installed hooks

Publishers are solely responsible for their published hooks.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved through:

  1. Good faith negotiation
  2. If unresolved, binding arbitration in accordance with international arbitration rules
